What You'll Do Primary Responsibility:
Under minimal supervision, perform very basic level duties of general maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse.
Maintenance areas include battery and charger maintenance, electricity, plumbing and carpentry, and may include transportation fleet preventive and routine maintenance.
Essential Functions:
o Maintains batteries and chargers in working order in accordance with OSHA Standard.
o Conducts Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on the batteries and chargers as needed.
o Works in the battery changing room to facilitate and manage the battery changing process.
o Operates a forklift, pallet jack and battery changer as needed.
o Cleans, lubricates bearings, gears of other machinery parts using rags, brushes and a grease gun.
o Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use tools and equipment carefully as instructed.
o Assists in conducting test of safety equipment (Exit signs, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, etc.
) to ensure OHSA and operational standards.
o Follows attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
o Assists in keeping accurate preventive maintenance records.
o Keeps work area 6S'd (clean, organized, etc.
), and performs housekeeping duties as required.
o Performs related work and other job assignments as required What Experience You Need Qualifications &
Experience:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
o Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude required.
o Mathematical and documentation skills necessary.
o Basic computer skills required (email, internet searches, basic data entry, etc.
).
o May be expected to participate in HAZMAT responder training.
o Vocational/technical certification and/or training preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Willingness to learn and ability to comprehend basic maintenance skills related to the job.
o Maintenance or mechanical experience preferred.
o Strong communication skills.
o Mathematical and documentation skills necessary.
o Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
o Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
o Must be able to work flexible shifts, if required, including on call.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

o Must be able to work at heights in excess of 35 ft.

o Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch o Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
o Must be able to use hand and power tools.
o Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
Either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses.
Contact lenses are prohibited when working with ammonia.
o Able to work nights and weekends.
