Lean Leader

Position Description
The Lean Leader will serve as Lean change agent at site, ensure a consistent, rapid and successful deployment of Lean at an assigned large account or multiple smaller accounts, by using the Lean principles to train employees, develop lean transformation/continuous improvement plans addressing critical site needs, identify opportunities for improvement, execute improvement projects through Kaizen facilitation and employee engagement at all levels within assigned site(s), create value stream maps.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent MBA preferred.
Business/Engineering/Logistics or equivalent.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, attainment is required within 12 months of hire.
Minimum of 6 years process or operations management experience. Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow, Pull Replenishment and other process improvement experience.
Ability to learn new concepts, Interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and motivate teams.
System and change implementation skills. Communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office including Project, SPC, Excel, Internal/Lean Audit, Quality Management Systems, Corrective Action Systems , Minitab, Outlook preferred
Work with site leadership to conduct assessments of critical site and business needs.
Develop a thorough, effective and timely continuous improvement plan to address the top business needs at Ryder sites.
Lead Kaizen events, continuous improvement projects and other activities that execute the site improvement plan resulting in bottom line company results.
Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against site objectives and remove barriers to deployment of lean/continuous improvement plan.
Work with site leadership to update and re-prioritize the plan to maintain focus on the most critical site objectives.
Train site leadership and other key personnel on Ryder Lean Guiding Principles concepts/Lean Transformational processes in concert with the Supply Chain Solutions deployment strategy, and develop shop floor experts capable of driving Lean in their areas. Coach and mentor others on Lean so it becomes ingrained in the site culture.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to: management of the lean transformational activities and projects at one large customer account or multiple customer accounts, directing the assessment, development, launch and continuous improvement activities related to specific business and day-to-day frontline associate interface and implementation of lean at the site.
Works on complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
